[Link] | Busy day at work today -- we put in three culverts, including a big 3' culvert up at the end of the lake where the water always runs over the road. We sincerely hope that the 3' culvert will prevent most of the road-overtopping events in that region.
I am going to have poppies in my yard this year, with actual blooms! Yay! (I suspect they are Poppy Orange, but they might be some other color. I've never seen them yet.)
The weird glads from last year are returning, so I will have them again.
The bleeding heart that I thought died did not die but took root and is blooming. Neat.
On the pony front, I put a bridle on Project Horse today and rode her around with that. It went pretty well, but we just stayed in the yard because I didn't have a buddy to ride with me. It's supposed to be really nice tomorrow, too, so maybe I'll get a bigger ride done then.
Tasha wants to go to the Devon horse show and it looks like we might be able to swing that on the 24th of May. (It's a Saturday.) Devon is a big Philly-area show, all the rooty-tooty types among the horsey set attend. It should be fun. (I am never, ever against horse tourism. Also, let us not forget that the Thurmont auction is this Friday night and that I am planning to attend. Must remind people. I also need to look for the pony harness which allegedly is somewhere and which I can borrow if it can be located.)

Since you are planning on going on the Saturday, I will try to not curse the tourists as much this year. As I work less than a mile down the street from the showgrounds, every year the tourists make my life and my commute a living hell for that whole week. I will try to be nicer now that people I know will be there ;)
Wow, we'll be swapping places that weekend. I'll be in Somerset County.
I suspect there's some kind of Pauli Exclusion Principle going on here. First, we need to assume you're both fermions... |
